PEGASUS took me rather by surprise as I had never painted a horse before.

The first version was all deep mystical velvet blues and greens. . . this was his arrival. . . with his right foot forward.

The second version is alive with rainbows of gold and coral and he leads with a left foot . . . a homecoming.
