THOUGHT FOR DECEMBER

Do what you love: love what you do!
Celebrate your authentic Self.
Live your Truth.
As we move forward , ever closer to living out our Souls Purpose, we are constantly challenged and tested on our personal Truth and integrity. A few years ago, I was still in the fashion industry and working as a Design Consultant, and juggling angels in between contracts. One day, I was faced with a moment of clarity which changed my working life forever.
I was driving down to Stanstead airport, very early one morning, to catch a flight to Florence in Italy. I was attending a fabric fair, just for the day, and it seemed like a very long way to go for such a short time. I was complaining to myself, moaning about the unfairness of having to get up so early and then driving back home so late . . . moan . . .moan . . . moan.
I arrived at the airport around 05.00 and checked in, catching sight of myself in a rather unflattering mirror, and decided I needed to buy something to sort out my hair as a matter of urgency.
The only possibility was a branch of Body Shop which was open already, so I went in and stood in the doorway waiting for inspiration to strike as to where to look for the “miracle” I so badly needed.
As I stood there, I became aware of someone standing behind me, just to my left. I looked around to gaze upon the most beautiful and elegantly dressed man, smooth black skin, fathomless dark eyes, silver grey suit and a pink shirt with a matching Windsor knotted pink tie (I notice this stuff!!) , he had the most subtle and wonderful fragrance.
He asked me “ Can I help you? Are you looking for something in particular?”
I replied, none too graciously, that I was looking for a “miracle” for my unruly hair.
He chuckled warmly, and pointed over the other side of the shop, assuring me that I would find my “miracle” over there.
I looked, I found exactly what I needed, and I paid at the till point.
As I left the shop, the beautiful man was standing just inside the doorway. As I exited he stepped forward and gently touched my arm, stopping me in my tracks. He looked me straight in the eyes and said simply “Do what you love; and love what you do” .
I turned on my heel in mild umbrage, but almost immediately the powerful truth of his words were released into my heart, and I turned back to thank him for his wise and perfectly timed words.
He was gone. In a matter of seconds this striking looking man was nowhere to be seen. Of course I asked the girl on the till if she had seen him, but no, she insisted I had been in the shop on my own.
His words stayed with me all day as I trawled around the fabric fair. I knew it was time to make a full commitment to my work with the angels, this had been a messenger, I had been delivered and recognised a truth.
When my last contract ended, I did not renew it, I simply opened up the space to the angels. . . they stepped right in and filled up all the gaps. The rest they say . . . is history!
